Interesting and beautiful photo. A little trivia-there uses to be a jazz vocal group on the very popular CTI label called Sea Level. Not to be confused with this band called The Sea Level. Hope you publish more of your retro photos. Your work is great.

Niftiness! That is a cool shot, with a great retro vibe. Their music actually isn't too bad, either. You mentioned missing a past time of your life...isn't that one of the coolest things about keeping these personal e-portfolio chunks floating around on the web? You occasionally get reminded of the things you value that you've lost along the way (like making time to hike).

That’s an awesome story Alan! I really like the shot too – it doesn’t suprise me, I regularly enjoy your flickr shots. You know, if you ever get tired of being an ed tech wiz, you might think about that as your next carreer – once rock hopper, then ed techer, now photographer! ;-)

Extremely cool. I’m glad you got a copy of the CD and I hope you can renegotiate your contract once they hit the big time. :)

I also really like the comment about envying an earlier time in your life. I know exactly how that feels. Something about the way you said it and the timing of its placement was especially poignant.
