[...] Alan Levine has a great post about LibraryThing over at his Cog Dog Blog. This site is another great Web 2.0 tool and looks like a great resource for sharing and connecting others via our reading materials. He lists a number of ideas in his post but here are some of my own: Have your school librarian add a few books to a school account's catalog to highlight new books in your libraryHave the students in your class add their latest reading materials to a classroom accountLink up with other teachers, classrooms or schools in your district, division, province, state, country or the world to share your top five, ten or more book titlesCreate a group account so that your fellow administrators, teachers. etc. can create a shared resource listing. Then you can have easy access to the shared materials that are brought forward at meetings, in-services, etc. These are just a few ideas. If you have others please post a comment. I've created an open group at LibraryThing entitled Web 2.0 Innovative Thinkers if you'd like to share some of your reading materials. The process was so easy I hope I did it correctly! ;-) Technorati Tags: LibraryThing, social networking, sharing, Web 2.0 Thursday, January 04, 2007 2:29 PM joevans Filed under: Instructional Discussion Topics, Technology in the Classroom, Thought Provoking, Pedagogically Speaking [...]

Hey Alan,

What a great resource! I've put together a group (I think) called Web 2.0 Innovative Thinkers and am asking anyone interested to join and share their collection with others.
