They are great in theory, and would be okay if I could choose which ones to pop-up, but instead they pop up all over the place as I simply move my mouse pointer across the page.

What a great idea! I’ve found myself in similar situations on occasion, and had taken to simply placing the deleted code into a text file that I could later retrieve if I changed my mind…I like your method much better.
