		<description>Dude, you need to be like any other true subversive techno-person:  Just go ahead and add your college/communitycollege/onepersoninstitute yourself!  Don&#039;t follow the instructions! (I note there are many others who have already done so).  

As to the hierarchical nature of it all, you got a point, but I&#039;m the last techy guy who doesn&#039;t facebook, so don&#039;t ask me on that one!</description>

		<description>Alan, they&#039;re remediating the live on-the-ground structure.  I&#039;m at an academic conference right now.  And I&#039;m struck by this focus on where people work, about the competitive nature of the relationships, by the fact that they read their papers (very structured pieces, of course).  It&#039;s deadening, I think.  The sad thing is I think there&#039;s real potential for doing good work, for collaborating rather than competing, but they&#039;re so stuck in these hierarchies and rely on them for their self-worth that they can&#039;t imagine what something else looks like.  And I&#039;m with you, I like it in the jungle, cuz really, that&#039;s where most people live.</description>
