@Christy Tucker: I've not used Firebug.... kind of looking right into raw code.

I grew up just outside of Baltimore yet inside the Beltway, but never had a harsh accent beyond saying "wooder" for "water", but survived, and even did okay in 12 year of public school there.

This to me seems like a broader concept of seeing inspiration for stories anywhere. It's more of an attitude where you can see ideas everywhere, if only you're aware and looking. Maybe this particular one isn't sparking any profound ideas for me at the moment, but it's a nice reminder that sometimes what you need to tell is story is to really look at the world around you.

Have you played with the Firebug extension? That's one I use to look at how web sites are put together, especially when I'm trying to understand the CSS.

On a totally unrelated note, my husband grew up in Baltimore, even surviving a few years in the Baltimore public schools. My mother-in-law has lived in Baltimore her whole life. I even got a lesson in "Bawlmerese" when I first met her. Now I wonder what your accent sounds like--do you have that Baltimore sound, or have you lived so many other places that your accent is a mix of regions?
