That may also be true if you try to connect through the permalink URL that NYTimes provides (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/23/fashion/23slowblog.html?partner=permalink&exprod=permalink). Since I got an account at nytimes.com years ago I never notice which articles are behind the login. Hopefully one of those helps. Alan,
