Hi Chris- I've not done modern digitization- that crappy quality clip was multigenarational- I had 8mm converted to VHS in the late 1980s and later digitized from VHS with an analog/digital converter box

Had a conversation with my Dad recently about how young he was (32) when his Dad passed away. One of the things I'm wanting to do is get old 8mm's converted to digital for him; searching online, I've only been able to find services that convert 8mm to digital. Can you suggest a site where I can find an actual device that will do the conversion? Or a name or brand of a device?

I lost my dad in 1992. I think of him every day. He always felt bad because he was an "older father"--50 when I was born--but I never minded. And I always knew I had that unconditional love.

Thanks for sharing your story with us. Any father who raised a son like you is a champ in my book.
