One of the discussion topics at Maricopa's May 2002 Ocotillo Retreat, we had people work in groups to produce "blueprints" for various instructional techniology topics. See the Café Discussions: Library of Re-usable Learning Objects for the activity and see the summary and images of sketches.
This retreat was the follow-up on a series of year-long activities where we had tried to do some future "visioning" for technology, and the theme here was to take tose ideas and try to make some blueprints (plans) for them.
The purpose is to convene faculty, staff, administrators from across our district of 10 colleges to discuss and develop ideas related to instructional technology. The locations, activities, and topics differ frokm year to year, sometimes it is group work, sometimes it is a guest speaker, but it is always energizing (and a bit of fun).
