Hey, it’s a tiny post, just like 2004 days. Short. Sweet.
If you are actually reading this post, not just clicking a like button, you hopefully notice a bit more “zip” to it? Like a purring sports car engine. Like…
…being now hosted in Reclaim Cloud. It was maybe a year or more ago, when Reclaim Hosting announced their Reclaim Press (I tihnk that’s what it was called) service, an optimized WordPress hosting, I of course raised my hand for a beta.
I thought maybe I would do a small site as a test, maybe my calling card at cog.dog. It would be risky to move this whole CogDogBlog barge that has been slopping on bits and bobs since 2005.
Then I got distracted.
Then when I was undistracted, I thought, why not? WTF? Why not move the most important (to me) web site in the universe? I contacted the Reclaim gurus, and we had some question over the nearly 17 Gb heft of its files.
With assistance, I managed to knock of some mammoth unneeded log files and then with some archiving of some other hanging blobs
I got it down to a more svelte… 13 Gb?
Taylor Jadin took it from there scheduling Monday as a transition time, He suggested “not blogging” which was really really hard to do 😉
And then it was done.
It’s now a sporty race car, eh?
It’s born to blog.
And now, it is cloud-injected with… okay I will stop the automobile metaphors. I have a load of big posts to unload.
Zooooooooom.
Featured Image: Funny, again, I have a perfect photo in my own public domain collection of 70k photos. Why do I need to render some sadly robotic cartoon-ish car? MG or Truck? flickr photo by cogdogblog shared into the public domain using Creative Commons Public Domain Dedication (CC0) (Truth- I would always take the truck, I am Red Dog 4 Life)
