Inside the Photo
I am a sucker for road signs, and my rule is if it takes you more than a mile to question whether to turn around, you have gone too far. My first thought was the movie “Cannonball Run” and with the morning light at my back, thought it would work well with my truck in it as a suggestion.
The photo was taken with my iPhone 4Gs, and was okay as is, but to add more punch, I used my (current) gavorite iOS editing app, Snapseed (“the only app you will want to use every day”), to boost it via the Drama filter.
It ends up a bit grainy in detail, a thing to keep in mind because it looks gorgeous on the mobile device. Still, used without overdoing the filters, can give ordinary photos a more super natural effect. The Drama settings work well with western blue skies.
