Scottlo! Scottlo!…. SCOTTLOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooo
Silence.
He seems gone. Lucky for him, Rochelle has stepped up in a big way, completely taking over the LoDown show, evolving it so much, that the old pencil head is completely gone from the logo.
I volunteered to put in a recording for one episode this week, taking some time to look at the video work the UMW students are doing this week, the last of the 5 week ds106 zone sprint. I’ve not seen any remix/mashup work posted yet, but hey, they got two more days.
Rather than using the Cracker recording of “Low” as music track, I did a little strumming playing the rhythm myself on acoustic guitar (if you care, the chords are D-C-E-G)
This episode clocks in at 14:29
There’s not much to say that has not been full explained already in how a 24 mile overnight walk across the Grand Canyon completely cleared the creepy doll presence from my sights and the internet’s as well.
Before talking about UMW students, I wanted to mention a fantastic movie trailer mashup created by an 8th Grade student in Japan shared by Frank Curcovic. Ellen mashed up video of The Lion King with audio from Rise of the Planet of the Apes

UMW student Work mentioned includes:
- Kelli’s The Basement
- Mi Casa de Los Gatos Word Picture a Story
- Whats Your Skills by Jessica (a created assignment)

- Claire’s TDC Golden Hour Photo on Rehobeth
- Word Picture Story by Andrew Thomas
And two examples of mashups by UMW students in my Spring 2013 class
No worries, Scottlo, we are looking for ya!
