Greetings from Irrelevance

Hello and greetings as far as one could be from the hub of Being Relevant. It is blissfully calm here, away from the bright lights of LinkedIn and its burdens of reposting liked comments. I am so out of the latest news on Blue Sky, how can I breathe?

I also am free of having 10s of thousands of followers on my Nonstack and having to feed them regularly with news of my speaking engagements and book tours.

There is ample time to pen my long typo ridden posts of nattering mutters that nobody will read. I can almost nuke Akismet on the blog, as the comments come in at a rate of once every third lunar eclipse.

Even better I do not have to groom my Generative AI expertise to waft at conferences, and there is no need for me to be flogging Claude to vibe code something new to demonstrate my prowess. There’s no pressure to be up to speed on the latest LLM model. If all this stuff is as great as they proclaim, I would think I can jump in anytime as it is so advanced I do not need to bring any experience to the table.

But you know, Irrelevance is not for everyone, it can be daunting to be that unimportant. But for me, it’s quiet, and there is so much room to roam, away from the hubub.

Just wanted to send a postcard from the quiet center of Irrelevance, it keeps moving farther away from the noise.
