For all the eager fans (perhaps that is singular) looking for the latest video from the dog drone in the sky, CogDogDrone, we had scheduled a spring flight to take the first overview of the land since the winter.

However, we had technical difficulties (aka, a pilot over-estimating skills to fly through a barn). There was a crash. And we lost footage of the cat. But the copnversation between ground control and the drone was enjoyable.

The damage was readily fixable, in maybe 3 minutes, using the tool and spare blades that came with the DJI Mini 2 (contrary to other experts who rely much on YouTube video advice).

With calm conditions yesterday, the orders came through for a mid summer overflight of our acreage. Hold steady, as our pilot still is not the smoothest operating, lots of flicking the gimble up when it should go down, and still a but herky jerky on the joy stick controls.

But we did get very details flyovers of the trails, the fields, the places where new trees have been planted, and lots of coverage of the vegetable garden, in its best shape ever with regular rounds of laying down straw and obsessive weed yanking.

Sit back and enjoy the flight.
