If all goes well with the mechanics of scheduled posts, by the time this one reaches the front page of this blog, Felix and I will be well on our way.

Where?

A few places, but mainly just on the road.

About 6 years ago I posted too of a longer trip, with a first post featuring an photo with the word “start” in it. At that time I took a “pivot” as the Silicon Valley people say, leaving a position at NMC for a road trip of 15,000 miles across/around Canada and the US.

This trip is not as long (should be about 3 weeks) nor as far. But like last time, it’s a chance to change up some work things. I’m not going into details, but I am jumping off of the major project I have been on for a year. A few new things are bubbling on the horizon.

And in 2011, I pinned my travels to an ambitious series of places to visit people. This trip is much looser, though with some specific destinations. I’ll say tomorrow is a bit of east then a lot of north.

What is different too in 2017 is my travel partner, Felix.

Red Dog is loaded with camping gear, off we go!

It’s another start, maybe with some jump in it.
