No Blog No Read
No Blog No Read by cogdogblog
posted 20 Jun ‘08, 9.11am MDT PST on flickr

With travel and being busy at the 2008 NMC Summer Conference, my blog posting sputtered off between June 7 and 14 with no posts, and my stats show the consequences.
Interesting as there is lag in readership? Peak was on June 9 and then the drop off.

If you dont post, people don’t read. Seems simple enough

But today I am crawling back into action, as it were, with no idea what may emerge. When in a rut, I often do as I am today, blog something directly from flickr, as it takes minimal effort.

I’ve never blogged directly from Flickr. You’ve inspired me to check it out!

You weren’t able to hide as I had plenty of updates via your flickr account. That said, glad to have you back. Awaiting the next Alltel vs. Cogdog type saga.

You can run, but you can’t hide. You have a group hiding in the bushes waiting for your next post…and the next. Take your time; we’re patient.

I too enjoyed the flickr coverage. :-)

And the stats seem to indicate your fans have real lives and do non-RSS stuff on weekends, but look forward to cogdogblog Mondays. ;-)

I’ll always be reading your blog :-)

what you’re seeing is the baseline Google traffic becoming visible when your “regulars” have already seen all of the latest content here. Like you said, once you start posting again (2 in one day so far ;-) the regulars’ll all come back to check it out.

that’s the beauty of RSS. You can go traveling the world, dropping off grid, and when you return your faithful readers are here waiting for you.
