Today would be well heck always is my parent’s wedding anniversary. 71 years ago today, Mickey and Alyce got hitched.

Married in 1950, their anniversary math was always easy, but damn, the number is getting big.

I could tell the story how they met at the pool I believe at Druid Hill park (or was it Park Circle) in Baltimore, Dad was smitten and had an idea how to introduce himself, and he.. wait a minute, let Mom tell the story (recorded in 1981, my last visit with her).

It was a bit chilly this morning which made it appropriate to wear the kind of shirt Dad liked the most, flannel. I just happened to fall in love with a woman who loves a flannel shirt too. See Cori? Dad would love this about you.

Anyhow, flannel warmth leads to connecting to the warmth of my parent’s 71st anniversary. I’ll keep the light on for them every year.
