This was totally inspired by Ben Rimes cover of “Imagine” for those #notAtISTE

On reflecting up on this, I was moved to mention I’ve never been to ISTE (technically incorrect, I attended NECC in 1995 but that was a billion years ago), and that led me to ponder the song by Three Dog Night.

There ya go…

Well I’ve never been to ISTE
All I see are their hash tags
Thousands go insane there
Filling up their conference bags.

They just keep tweeting
And more retweeting
I just don’t get it.

Well I won’t be in Atlanta
No tchotchkes from the vendors
Just sitting here on my deck
My PLN out on a bender.

Can you favorite?
Must +1 it
Feels so real, feels so real.

Well I won’t be there at ISTE
No thought leaders strand
Oh I might feel like no one
But I can submit an ISTEgram.

I’m on the web
Not conferencing
What does it matter, what does it matter.

Well I’m not there at ISTE
But am seeing lots of hash tags
Thousands going insane there
Filling up conference swag bags.

Just keep on tweeting
And more retweeting
I just don’t get it.

If I were to do another (unlikely) is like to hear a version of “ISTE in the Sky With Diamonds”

Picture yourself
